A HDR-version of a hallway in Gloucester cathedral. Fans of the Harry Potter movies might find the scene familiar....

A clear blue sky, a pretty white church sitting on a hill, a polarizer filter... What more could you possibly ask for?

This is the Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Pioneers Shrine in Mabou, Cape Breton, Canada.
A spring photo, taken in April. The chestnut trees are in full bloom, their candle-like flowers seemingly to mimic the Cathedral's spire. I'm also pleased with the (almost over)bright colors of the green leaves and the blue sky, which is due to getting the most out of a polarization filter with the sun in the exact right spot.

Cemeteries and graveyards can make for wonderful photography locations. I like the peace and quiet, and the sense of history that's gone by. These two leaning headstones are a grateful subject in the small cemetery of the church in Ezinge, Netherlands. They seem to indicate that love even surpasses death....

What you get when visiting a mosque (in Cyprus) with a hiking tour group... :-)
