There's a lot of sparkle and gleam in St. Petersburg, Russia. I especially enjoyed the contrast between these golden spires of Catherine Palace against the deep blue sky.

Bergen

This is Bergen, the Norwegian city famous for its old town, Bryggen (pictured) and for its enormous amount of rainfall: 2.250 mm/year, spread over more than 200 rainy days. In fact, it once rained for more than 80 days in a row in Bergen. Guess I got real lucky, huh?

Odd angles

Nope, not a fisheye lens, or some weird Photoshop effect. This building truly is built with oddly angled walls. Taken in the Fort Bourtange.
