Backlit bunker

shadomandaI was in the wrong place and time, really, to take a photo of the Wasserman bunker on Schiermonnikoog: it was near noon, the sun was creating harsh shadows, and to top it all off, it was in the wrong direction.
But by silhouetting the people against the sky, underexposing the foreground, then converting the photo to black & white and add some grain, I think it created quite an atmospheric image. The people on top of the bunker are almost forming a kind of tableau vivant especially for the photograph.
