Danger, danger...!

Another in my theme: warnings-series. This time taken on Guernsey.

Keep off the grass

Pretty hard to overlook, this bright blue warning sign in the middle of a very green field.

Danger!

In what is quickly turning into a series of Warning!'s photos, another danger sign I found located near the edge of a cliff somewhere in Nova Scotia. Alas, I no longer recall the exact location, and geolocating was a thing of the future at that time.

Big Foot

How could I possibly resist taking a picture of this road sign?

Taken somewhere on the access road to Pike's Peak Summit in Colorado.

Danger! Sirmione

On the north end of the Sirmione peninsula in the Garda Lake the cliffs are steep. I liked the contrast between the grass, the sky, and the lake, the little warning sign, and—if you can spot her—the sunbathing woman who has somehow made it down there in one piece.

Brazil beach

Palm trees, deep blue sky, a lovely sandy beach, the ocean... and then a warning sign.

Dangerous hill...!

Taken somewhere in (I think) Nova Scotia. Warning signs like these might be normal for Canadians, but the cartoonish quality of the picture caught my eye—especially compared with the gentle slope seen ahead.

Hidden warning

Taken on the north-west shore of Prince Edward Island, Canada. It was amusing to see how this sign warning for dangerous cliffs is itself nearly hidden in the tall grass.

The contrasting colors of the yellow grass and blue sea/sky don't hurt the photo one bit, either, imho....

Danger!

In the absolute middle of nowhere, along a road in Lapland (Norway), where it was cold enough that even late June there were patches of snow in the hills and you could drive for hours without meeting a soul (reindeer was another matter...), I discovered this warning sign.

Snowy road closure

Hmph. I might be ready for spring, the weather gods apparently disagree. It was snowing earlier today. Granted, a few wet flakes, none of which stuck, but still.

It wasn't quite like this, though. This is what we ran into during our "summer" holiday in 2004.

Taken in Yellowstone National Park, during Memorial Day weekend. Aka May 29th.
