It's market day in Getaria, northern Spain. Taking the photo from a higher vantage point gives a different view, but the colorful fruit alone makes my mouth water... :)
A photo taken from the passenger seat of a moving car. I liked how the road seemed to be swallowed up by the mountains (lava flows from the Teide volcano on Tenerife, Canaries).
And to demonstrate how it would look converted to black and white:
As a general rule, it's not a good idea to photograph against the sun. In this particular case, I think the sun flare adds a little something to the photo.
Big waves rolling in from across the full breadth of the Atlantic Ocean finally end on the rocky coast of the island of Lanzarote in a curtain of spray.
I liked the pattern these columns formed in Park Güell, Barcelona. Took some patience to capture it "people-less": it was Mayday, which is a holiday in Spain, so lots of Barcelonians were out and about as well as the tourists.
Beach umbrellas under a partly cloudy sky in Lanzarote. Cropped to a widescreen format to cut out some of the not-too-interesting sky. The lone seagull kinda finishes the pic for me.
